After an absolute splendid launch in Ten Trinity Square, followed by second divine experience at The Victoria and Albert Museum, Patrons of the ArtPointFoundation granted an unforgettable Wednesday evening in the Science Museum to honour 80th birthday of Dr. Valentina Tereshkova, Hero of the Soviet Union. In 1963, Dr. Tereshkova helped launch the space age by becoming the first woman and the first civilian in space. Today she remains the only woman to have travelled solo in space.
The gala evening was in the presence of the legend herself, Dr. Valentina Tereshkova, followed by a screening of a specially commissioned short film on her life, accompanied by The Russian Philharmonic Orchestra with acclaimed world known virtuoso violinist Dmitri Kogan.
Funds raised from silent auction went to support ArtPointFoundation, which furthering the careers of exceptional artists of all ages and backgrounds. By giving them access to specialist training, expert advice and performance opportunities, the Foundation enables them to realise their full potential.
I would like to express my special “Thanks” to Helena Benhamou and Sabina Fatkullina, for their kind hospitality and such an incredible job they do. Without you, this beautiful evening would never happen. Wishing you many more successful events like this in the nearest future. You really taking Charity events to completely another level.
